We believe
in the One True God, that He is a triune being known as God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy Chapter 6 verse 4 and Mark Chapter 12 verse 29)
We believe
the Bible is the foundation of our faith. We consider it to be infallible and wholly inspired by God. In the Bible God has revealed His plan of Salvation for man. (2 Timothy Chapter 3 verses 15-17 and Hebrews Chapter 4 verse 12)
We believe
that Salvation is the free gift of God, offered to men and women by Grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose atoning blood was shed on the cross for the forgiveness of sins.
(Romans Chapter 3 verses 23-24 and Ephesians Chapter 2 verses 8, 9)
We believe
that Water Baptism is an ordinance of the Church that openly proclaims to the world that the person being baptized has died with Jesus Christ and been raised with Him in newness of life. (We do not practice infant baptism, but we do dedicate infants to God.) (Matthew chapter 28 verse 19 and Acts chapter 10 verses 47-48).
We believe
in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues giving the believer access to the power of God for service. (Acts chapter 1 verse 8 and Acts chapter 19 verse 6).
We believe
The Lord's Supper (Holy Communion) is an ordinance of the Church in which the bread and the wine represent the broken body and the shed blood of Jesus Christ, symbolizing the new covenant which He established between God and man. (1 Corinthians 11 verses 24, 25 and 28, 29).
We believe
that The Life of the Believer involves separation from the ways of the world and must be characterized by consistent holy conduct before God and man. Through every Christian there should reflect the life-giving light and life of Jesus Christ to a world that lies in darkness. (Ephesians chapter 5 verses 1-12 and Philippians chapter 1 verses 9-11 and John chapter 1 verses 5-7 and John chapter 2 verses 8-11 and verses 15-17).
We believe
there is no scriptural prohibition concerning women ministering in any position in the church, including that of Pastor or Apostle. (Acts chapter 2 verses 17-18 and Galatians chapter 3 verses 26-28 and Roman chapter 16 verses 1-15).
We believe in the literal return of the Lord Jesus Christ to establish His Kingdom and reign in righteousness. "Awaiting our Blessed Hope, the appearing of our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ..." (Titus chapter 2 verse 13).
Geloofspunten van onze gemeenschap “Messiah Fellowship”
In de Bijbel heeft God Zijn Reddingsplan voor de mens geopenbaard. (2 Timotéüs Hoofdstuk 3,
vers 15-17 en Hebreeën Hoofdstuk 4 vers 12).
Wij geloven in de Enige Waarachtige God die een Drieëenheid is, God de Vader, God de Zoon en God de Heilige Geest (Deuteronomium Hoofdstuk 6 vers 4 and Marcus Hoofdstuk 12 vers 29).
Wij geloven dat Redding een geschenk van God is om niet, aan man en vrouw geschonken in Genade, dat ontvangen wordt door persoonlijk geloof in Jezus Christus, wiens verzoenende bloed werd gestort aan het kruis ter vergeving van zonde.
(Romeinen Hoofdstuk 3 vers 23-24 and Efeziërs Hoofdstuk 2 vers 8-9).
Wij geloven dat de Waterdoop een verordening is voor de kerk, die openlijk aan de wereld verklaart dat de persoon die gedoopt wordt met Jezus Christus gestorven is en met Hem is opgestaan in nieuwheid des levens. (Wij dopen de kinderen niet, maar we dragen ze aan God op.) (Matthéüs Hoofdstuk 28 vers 19 en Handelingen Hoofdstuk 10 vers 47-48).
Wij geloven in de Doop in de Heilige Geest met als bewijs daarvan het spreken in tongen, wat de gelovige toegang geeft tot de kracht van God tot dienstbetoon. (Handelingen Hoofdstuk 1 vers 8 en Handelingen Hoofdstuk 19 vers 6.).
Wij geloven dat het (Heilig) Avondmaal een opdracht aan de kerk is, waarbij het brood en de wijn het verbroken lichaam en het gestorte bloed van Jezus Christus vertegenwoordigen, om zo het nieuwe verbond te symboliseren dat Hij heeft gesloten tussen God en de mens. (1 Corinthiërs 11 vers 24, 25 en 28, 29).
Wij geloven dat het Leven van de Gelovige een scheiding inhoudt van de gewoonten van de wereld en dat hieraan gestalte moet worden gegeven door het leiden van een voortdurend geheiligd leven voor God en mensen. Elke Christen zou het levend makende licht en leven van Jezus Christus moeten weerspiegelen in een wereld die in duisternis is gehuld. (Efeziërs Hoofdstuk 5 1-11, Filippenzen Hoofdstuk 1 vers 9-11, en Johannes Hoofdstuk 1 vers 5-7 en Johannes Hoofdstuk 2 vers 8-11 en vers 5-17).
Wij geloven dat er geen schriftuurlijk verbod bestaat op grond waarvan het vrouwen niet zou zijn toegestaan om te bedienen op welke plaats in de kerk dan ook, inclusief het ambt van Voorganger of Apostel. (Handelingen Hoofdstuk 2 vers 17-18, Galaten Hoofdstuk 3 vers 26-28 en Romeinen Hoofdstuk 16 vers 1-15).
Wij geloven in de letterlijke wederkomst van de Here Jezus Christus om Zijn Koninkrijk te vestigen en te regeren in gerechtigheid. "….verwachtende de zalige hoop en de verschijning van onze grote God en Heiland, Christus Jezus…" (Titus Hoofdstuk 2 :13)
